Enforcement Services

The City of Leduc Enforcement Services is a team of Community Peace Officers who are appointed by the Alberta Solicitor General and Minister of Public Security. They are an integrated service with the Leduc RCMP.

Municipal enforcement services work to enforce the Traffic Safety Act within Leduc. Peace officers are trained in the use of laser and radar devices as tools when conducting traffic enforcement. Community Peace Officers are also responsible for the investigation and enforcement of other appointed provincial statutes including:

  • Alberta Liquor and Gaming Act
  • Environmental Protection Act
  • Weed Control Act

Peace officers enforce and investigate various local municipal bylaws. Peace officers are able to issue 24-hour suspensions for driving offences. Leduc's enforcement services team are empowered to arrest and suspend drivers and individuals with outstanding warrants.
