Hours of Service
The City of Leduc maintains a very proactive and professional enforcement service to keep our city safe, clean and highly livable. The office for this non-emergency service can be accessed Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at (780) 980-7200 Ext. 5. Community Peace Officers (CPOs) are scheduled for various shifts through the week (days and evenings) as well as weekends. All calls are responded to in a timely manner whenever possible, and almost always within one to two business days.
The greatest call volume for CPOs is from 0800 to 2000 hours Monday through Saturday. There is flexibility to their shifts to provide enforcement services during special events such as the Rodeo, targeted enforcement such as seatbelt checks, and for other enforcement activities such as bike patrol where they are partnered with a RCMP member. Factors that can influence shift schedules are court commitments, training, vacation, and off duty sickness. During times that CPOs are not on duty, the RCMP provide backup to respond to local or bylaw related issues.
Leduc’s Community Peace Officers work very closely with the RCMP to ensure that the applicable Provincial Legislation and City of Leduc’s bylaws can be enforced at any time. Residents with an after-hours bylaw concern can contact the RCMP’s non-emergency line at (780) 980-7267 to register a complaint that will be addressed on a priority basis.
