Leduc Environmental Advisory Board (LEAB)

The City of Leduc Council supports conservation, protection and enhancement of the environment for the benefit of its residents.

The Leduc Environmental Advisory Board is an advisory board to Council which:

  1. Advises Council on environmental matters;
  2. Proposes to Council City programs and practices for the protetion, enhancement and wise use of the environment;
  3. Disseminates information to and for the residents of the City to create a better appreciation of wise and prudent environmental practices.

The Board consists of nine residents of the City of Leduc who are appointed by City Council. These nine members are composed of the following:

  • 5 Leduc residents appointed at large
  • 1 Leduc resident representing the formal education system (or public-at large)
  • 1 Leduc resident recommended by the Chamber of Commerce (or public-at large) and
  • 2 members of Leduc City Council (Councillor Glen Finstad and Alternate Council member David MacKenzie)
