Medical Written Test
EMT-A and EMT-P applicants will be required to write an examination assessing their knowledge base relative to but limited to the following;
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Airway emergencies
- Breathing emergencies
- Circulation emergencies
- Trauma emergencies
- BLS and ALS treatment regimes
- ECG and 12 lead recognition
- Pharmacology knowledge
- Emergency vehicle operations
- Codes of practice and ethics
- Interpersonal skills
This exam is a multiple choice, fill in the blank test, with a 2 hour setting, a pass mark of 75% is required to proceed in the process. Applicants will be contacted for dates and times.
