The City of Leduc has an active seven-member Council and an administration with a workforce of over 450 employees in a wide variety of positions. We are committed to the principle of fair and equitable treatment for all employees and recognize our employees are critical to the City of Leduc achieving its mandate to its citizens.
The Human Resources Team administers recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, coordination of the corporate Occupational Health and Safety Program, training and development, employee relations, and other human resource functions.
Administration recognizes that the ability to attract and retain the best of the best has a tremendous impact on the organization's capability to serve its' citizens and meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. It is, therefore, the City of Leduc's policy to hire the best qualified people to fill any position.
As Chair of the OH & S Program within the City of Leduc, we focus on such issues as Hazard Assessment and Controls, Workplace Audits, and Safe Work Practices. Our executive and management strive to make the City of Leduc a safe place to work. The City of Leduc takes every measure to reduce work place illness and injury.
Training is the key to maintaining our investment in human capital. Technology and information is changing so rapidly in today's world that staff must receive ongoing training in order to maintain the ability to provide services to our residents. Such training gives them the skills necessary to develop new and innovative service levels. As an employer, we provide adaptability and flexibility to grow within our organization.
