Building and Safety Codes
The Building and Safety Codes branch is responsible for administering the approval of building permits, including; plumbing, gas, electric and heating. The branch ensures all permits meet the requirements set out by the Alberta Building Code and related regulations. Safety Codes Officers within the branch conduct inspections to ensure that the work done meets the high quality standards expected in Leduc.
The department acts in accordance with city bylaws, policies, procedures and regulations and makes relevant provisions of the Municipal Government Act of Alberta and the Safety Codes Act.
