Permit Process
A development permit is your formal permission from the City of Leduc to begin construction, demolition, addition or renovation on your property.
Appeal Process
If you are refused a development permit or you are not satisfied with the conditions of approval, you may appeal the decision of the development officer to the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board. Your appeal must be submitted to the board within 14 days after you have been notified of the decision. A fee is charged for lodging an appeal. Any person affected by a proposed development may also appeal if they disagree with the development officer's decision.
The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board must comply with provincial land use policies, statutory plans and the city's land use bylaw.
The decision of the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board may be appealed to the court of appeal, but only on a point of law or jurisdiction. For more information contact the planning and development department at 780.980.7124 or email planning@leduc.ca.
