Royal Canadian Mounted Police
The RCMP, Canada's national police service, provides police service to the City of Leduc and the surrounding rural areas located within Leduc County under a "Post System" concept. This system allows for the integration of municipal and provincial resources to create a seamless and coordinated delivery of policing services across municipal boundaries. The RCMP is dedicated to ensuring the City of Leduc and Leduc County are safe communities for all residents to live, work and play.
The Leduc and District RCMP detachment is very active in the community, participating with various initiatives such as Victim Services, Citizens on Patrol, Business Watch, Rural Crime Watch, Youth Justice Committee, Leduc Community Drug Action Committee, RCMP Auxiliaries Program, a School Resource Officer, Crime Stoppers, Bike Patrol (in the summer months), and DARE.
