Aquatic Fitness Programs
For health and safety reasons, drop-in and registered aquatic fitness program participants must be at least 14 years of age unless otherwise noted.
Pre-registration is required to participate in these programs. Please check the Aquatic Fitness Programs Schedule for this session to determine days and times.
Tri Teaser8 classes - Offered in winter session
Getting bored with your regular workouts? Try a sampling of workouts from the new triathlon program. Each week the coach / instructor will go through a sport specific workout, a swim, a run or a bike. Basic strokes in swimming are required but workouts will be modified for all skills levels.
11 weeks - Offered in winter & spring sessions
Begin your training in one of the most increasingly popular endurance sports. You will meet with your coaches / instructors three hours each week to participate in a sport specific workout as well as receive a detailed training plan to prepare yourself for your first triathlon. This is a beginner course but all workouts will be modified for specific levels.
Aqua Boot Camp
8 classes (50-minute workout)
Love the water but Aqua Fit class just isn’t your thing? Tried lane swimming but get bored quickly… try the new aqua bootcamp class! With the familiar bootcamp style, this class incorporates basic swimming with weight based exercises in and around the pool. Be ready to sweat up a storm and enjoy doing it at the pool. Participates will be required to get in and out of the pool during the workout. Must be comfortable in deep water.
5 classes - Offered in fall, winter, & spring sessions
Come and enjoy some quality time in the pool with your baby! This Aqua Fit program uses our baby boats so your little one (5 months to 3 years of age) can bob along to great music while you get a workout.
Pre-Natal Aqua Fit5 classes
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Want to stay active while you are expecting your little bundle of joy and meet other expectant moms in the community? You will enjoy the benefits of this low impact deep water Aqua Fit program as it can help to relieve the aches and pains of your pregnancy while you keep up your fitness routine. This program is held in the deep end of the main pool. Aqua jogger belts or noodles provided.

Aqua Fit – Shallow Water
This high energy class incorporates both cardio and muscular training in the aquatic environment, providing a low impact workout that really works!
Aqua Fit – Deep Water
Exercise in deep water provides virtually zero impact on your bones and joints because of the body’s submersion in the water, while giving you a more intense muscular workout as you work against the water’s natural resistance. Aquabelts are provided to keep you afloat during your workout.
Aqua Fit – Seniors
Are you looking for a fantastic workout with a fabulous group of people? Then come join the Senior Aqua Fit program for a fun fitness experience tailored to be gentle on your bones and joints. After your workout, join the group for a lunchtime visit (just don’t forget to bring yourself a lunch).
