City of Leduc has a full-time outreach coordinator available to help promote comfortable, active and independent lifestyle for all citizens aged 55 plus within our community. The philosophy behind the program is “helping people to help themselves”.

Contact the coordinator for:
- programs available to citizens 55 plus
- assistance with completing forms for government programs (It is advisable to phone for an appointment for help with form completion)
- assistance with developing new activities
- a list of individuals offering yard, handyman, and snow removal services (updated each spring and fall).
The Coordinator also welcomes inquiries from families regarding concerns associated with aging and care giving.

Focus on 55+
| The Focus on 55+ committee identifies issues affecting seniors, facilitates movement on identified issues, shares information, and networks with citizens and organizations.
The committee meets the second Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Telford House, located at 4907 46 Street.
New members are always welcome.

Panorama Newsletter
Panorama, The Newsletter for Leduc Citizens aged 55 plus, is published monthly by F.C.S.S. and distributed to those who register with FCSS and live within the City of Leduc.
The Newsletter provides up-to-date information pertinent to citizens 55 +: changes to pensions, grants, services, etc. Also provided is a monthly calendar to let you know what the various local seniors’ organizations have planned.
To submit information to be published in the Newsletter or to be placed on the distribution list for the Newsletter call 780-980-7115.
Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is available to anyone within the City of Leduc who is unable to prepare a hot meal at home due to convalescence, illness, injury, mobility or visual problems or shopping difficulties. People who have lost the motivation to cook for one person may also benefit from receiving meals.
A nutritious meal is delivered to the recipient’s home Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays, over the lunch hour. The meals are prepared at the Leduc Community Hospital and delivered by volunteer drivers. The cost is $5.00 per meal, which consists of soup, crackers, salad, bread, hot main course and desert.
