Youth Peer Support Training

If you find friends and peers naturally turn to you for support, this might be the program for you!

Youth Peer Support Training (formerly Community Helpers Program) offers training and support to strengthen the natural abilities of young people (Grade 10 to 12) in their helping role with their peers. Helpers will learn and develop a variety of skills including effective communication, self-care, coping with stress, knowing when to refer peers to professional support services, handling crisis situations and suicide awareness.

The program will also connect helpers to community and professional support resources.

Free training opportunities are offered throughout the year. Visit our webinars, workshops and information sessions page for upcoming sessions.
