Certified through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology with a specialization in Corrective Exercise through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and as a member of Exercise is Medicine-Canada, I strongly believe in the role that exercise can play in improving quality of life. I have been a CSEP certified Personal Trainer since 2011 and have also obtained a degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology. I have always had a passion for training athletes and encouraging them to reach their potential and achieve their goals. I have a wealth of knowledge in relation to sport specific training through my education and personal experience competing in elite sport.
I recently played three years of professional hockey, my most recent season being 2017-2018 with the Wheeling Nailers in the ECHL, the AA affiliate to Wilks-Barre Scranton and the Pittsburg Penguins. My knowledge of the game and expertise in training has given me the opportunity to train many elite level hockey players from Peewee AA teams to athletes in the AJHL, WHL, NCAA, AHL, and NHL.

Having experienced being overweight, out of shape, and later breaking through plateaus and enduring injuries I know the journey all too well and it is through this experience that I can help you reach your goals and get through whatever it is you are experiencing.
I bring with me a Personal Trainer certification through CanFitPro as well as an Agatsu Level I Instructor certification in the art of Kettlebell training. I have several years of boxing experience, kettlebell training as well as weight training and have participated in a few 5k/10k races with a goal of running a half marathon and marathon in the near future. I’ve been in the fitness, sports and recreation industry for over 20 years, and although I am certified in many facets of fitness, strength training is my specialty. With that said, I do focus on a lot of core & balance conditioning as well as creating cross training programs for youth, adults and seniors. In addition, I have previously worked as a personal fitness trainer for military and police personnel. I’ve been all over the Arctic, BC and Alberta but in the last few years have been personal training with a very diverse clientele in universities and recreation centres.

Hi, my name is Sarah. I have always been passionate about health and wellness. As a teen I struggled with weight gain and digestive issues which led me down a road of personal discovery as I worked to try and correct the issues I was having. I decided to enrol in a holistic nutrition and lifestyle program and my passion took off. I am now a Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultant and have also completed the Sports Nutrition Certificate program with the International Sport Sciences Association. I recently also became certified as a Personal Trainer through the ISSA program.
I am so excited to work with clients in a one on one setting as they focus on improving their health. I want to help clients become comfortable in a gym setting and improve their exercise repertoire and skillset inside the gym. I enjoy utilizing a combination of training styles including strength training, circuits, intervals and plyometrics to deliver results.
