We’re updating the Municipal Development Plan (MDP) to make sure planning and development aligns with our unique local and regional priorities and accurately captures our community’s vision.

Over the course of the summer, we’ll engage with residents, businesses and stakeholders in a variety of ways to collect feedback that informs updates. We’ll share what we’ve heard, and once draft updates are complete we’ll check in with the community to make sure we’re on the right track before we finalize updates in 2020.

Engagement Opportunities

Online survey: the MDP online survey is now closed.

Street Team: our team of MDP project leaders and specialists was present at a number of community- and city-hosted events throughout the summer to gather feedback.

Engagement sessions: the MDP team hosted a series of public engagement sessions in the early fall to address specific questions and topics in-person. Sessions happened:

Sept. 17, 4 - 6:30 p.m. | Telford House (4907 46 St.)
Oct. 2, 4 - 7 p.m. | LRC (4330 Black Gold Dr.)

Stakeholder engagement: specific organizations impacted by the plan will be contacted directly by the MDP team.  If you believe you are a stakeholder that should be consulted and would like to be contacted by the city, please contact:
