2020 Budget Planning Survey coming to a computer near you

Tuesday, April 30, 2019

The time is now to share your valuable input into how the City of Leduc plans next year’s budget. Throughout the month of May, citizens will have the opportunity to share their opinion on how the municipality should prioritize programs and services in 2020.

“Investing in your community means sharing your voice into the future of this city,” says Jennifer Cannon, director of Finance with the City of Leduc. “Public feedback is used in our annual budget planning process, which is an essential step in our overall planning practices.”

The information provided by citizens is shared with all departments while they prepare for the coming year and any future budget requests. These departments include:

  • Family and Community Support Services
  • Fire and emergency services, such as fire, enforcement and RCMP
  • Recreation and events
  • Public Services, such as parks, playgrounds, roads and snow removal

This year’s survey will be conducted by phone through an independent contractor, and is available online. All online participants have the option to be entered into a random prize draw of a 2019/20 performance series package at the Maclab Centre for the Performing Arts.
