City Council provides free membership option for seniors at the Leduc Recreation Centre

Wednesday, February 20, 2019

As part of the 2019 budget, City Council approved enhanced membership options for seniors who use the Leduc Recreation Centre (LRC).

“City Council knows how important physical activity is to seniors and their quality of life. As such, we felt it was very important to ensure that the membership options at the Leduc Recreation Centre are affordable and meet their needs,” said Mayor Bob Young. “The new Seniors’ Active Afternoon membership will help seniors maintain a healthy, active lifestyle and keep a promise that we had made during the election.”

The new membership allows any individual 60 years or older access to Leduc Recreation Centre for free between noon and 4pm Monday to Friday.

Anyone wishing to get more information about the new membership or any other membership opportunities at the LRC can visit Guest Services or call 780-980-7120.
