City of Leduc Mayor gets foamy in preparation for Canada 150 celebrations

Monday, May 29, 2017

Canada Day is a chance for the community to come together and experience the many exciting cultural and recreational activities the City has to offer. In preparation for this year’s big celebration, Foam Fest organizers took City of Leduc Mayor Greg Krischke to Dallas, Texas to try out the event, which is coming to the city July 1.

Mayor Krischke visited Dallas on May 13 to undertake the 5K Foam Fest – 22 of some of the best and most exciting obstacles in the world including the world's largest inflatable waterslide, slip and slides, and mucky mud pits!

“I had a blast in Dallas!” says City of Leduc Mayor Greg Krischke. “I challenge you to join me in the 5K Foam Fest this Canada Day in Leduc. It is just one of the many thrilling events our City has lined up for this year’s national birthday bash!”

This year, plans for Canada Day celebrations exceed the traditional pancake breakfast, parade and spectacular display of fireworks - providing residents and visitors numerous options to enjoy their day.

“Leduc is in for a treat,” says Mayor Krischke. “We are so proud to support local community and bring in local artists to help celebrate the day.”
