Leduc Census 2017 results show a new population count of 31,130; a growth rate of two per cent over 2016.

“It’s no surprise that our City continues to grow and attract new residents – there’s so much going on and to be proud of,” says Leduc Mayor Greg Krischke. “With all of the economic development activity currently happening and planned for the area, the City continues to be an attractive destination and we continue to be a community of choice for families and individuals.”

The 2017 municipal census ran from April 1 to May 31 and citizens were provided two options to participate, online or at their door. This year’s campaign saw more people accessing the online census than in previous years at 40.5 per cent (39 per cent in 2016).

This year marks the City’s ninth annual municipal census:

  • 2017 – 31,130
