City reintroduces acts of ‘Good Neighbouring’ for 2022

Monday, May 2, 2022

Key communication connection programs will be re-launched in Leduc this Spring encouraging citizens to learn more, be involved and become leaders in their neighbourhood.

The City of Leduc introduces the following programs for 2022:

  • Block Party – is a program offered by the city to support creative ideas lead by community builders to bring their closest neighbours together for camaraderie and conversation. Each block party that registers will receive a $50 gift certificate (while supplies last) from a Leduc business to support the event. Visit 'Block Party' to learn more or to register your block event.
  • Block Connectors – are considered citizens who are interested in building a strong sense of community within their neighbourhood. With the support of the city, connectors will receive training and communication tools to help start the conversation with their neighbours on the importance of feeling connected and creating a sense of belonging. Visit 'Block Connectors' to learn more and to register.

These programs are offered as part of the Good Neighbour initiative designed for individuals, couples or families whose selfless efforts help create connected, friendly and safe communities.

Residents can register online to become a Block Connector and/or to register a Block Party.
