City seeking volunteers for advisory boards and committees

For anyone who has ever wanted to serve your community in an advisory role, the time is now to apply to one of the city’s boards and committees.

“Leduc is a city with a plan for the future,” says Leduc Mayor Bob Young. “Serving on a board or committee is a great way to make a difference in your community; it’s your opportunity to learn and share your vision to help shape Leduc’s future.”

The city’s recruitment efforts will be running until the application deadline, Sept. 23, 2019. All submissions must be done before 4.30 p.m. that day.

POSITIONS

  • Assessment Review Boards – one position
    • Three-year term, Jan. 1, 2020 – Dec. 31, 2022
  • Family and Community Support Services Board (FCSS) – two positions
    • Up to three-year term, Jan. 1, 2020 – Dec. 31, 2022
  • Leduc Environmental Assessment Advisory Board (LEAB) – five positions
    • Three-year term, Jan. 1, 2020 – Dec. 31, 2022
  • Leduc Parks, Recreation and Culture Board (PRC) – three positions
    • Up to two-year term, Jan. 1, 2020 – Dec. 31, 2021
  • Leduc Public Library – two positions
    • Three-year term, Jan. 1, 2020 – Dec. 31, 2022
  • Subdivision/Development Appeal Board (SDAB) – one position
    • Three-year term, Jan. 1, 2020 – Dec. 31, 2022
  • Youth Council* – five to thirteen positions
    • One-year term, Jan. 1, 2020 – Dec. 31, 2020
