City welcomes new sponsor to the Leduc Recreation Centre
The City of Leduc is pleased to welcome FortisAlberta as the new sponsor of the fireplace at the Leduc Recreation Centre (LRC).
The occasion was marked by a fun, festive, family event hosted by FortisAlberta with more than 20 families getting their photo with Santa Claus, Dec. 9, 2022 at the LRC.
“Having FortisAlberta join the LRC family of sponsors is a natural alignment between our organizations,” says Leduc Mayor Bob Young. “We share common values, such as how we invest in our community and support health and wellness opportunities for the citizens we serve.”
The City of Leduc was happy to partner with FortisAlberta in hosting the holiday event for more than 50 children in the community. Families enjoyed a visit with Santa, candy canes and hot chocolate.
“At FortisAlberta, we take great pride in not only keeping the lights on, but also being a part of the communities we serve. Spending the day with Santa, the Leduc Recreation Centre and all of the wonderful families from the Leduc community helped to make our season bright,” says Jamie Irving, marketing advisor with FortisAlberta.
This event was hosted in partnership with Leduc’s Family Resource Network and the City of Leduc Family and Community Support Services.
