Dog Days of Summer: fun, free, furry good time at the dog park
City of Leduc Enforcement Services is inviting all four-legged residents, and their owners, to a fun-filled free event later this month.
WHAT: 2nd annual Dog Days of Summer
WHEN: May 30, 2018, 6 – 8 p.m.
WHERE: Leduc Dog Park (behind the Leduc Recreation Centre)
“We want people, and their dogs, to have a ‘fur’tastic time at the dog park, learning about pet services in the region, city information about the animal bylaw, and to get to know our Community Peace Officers,” says Sgt. Michael Stadnyk, with Leduc Enforcement Services.
This year’s family-friendly event will feature local business vendors that offer pet services, pet-focused resources, and an opportunity for citizens to give their feedback on the current animal bylaw.
“Dog Days of Summer is our way of giving back to the community and connecting with citizens and dog owners to field any questions and provide pet-centric information,” says Stadnyk.
Attendees will be able to enjoy a cool treat as this year’s proceeds will go to the animal rescue organization, Northern Alberta Society for Animal Protection (NASAP); who will also be in attendance.
For more information or to become a vendor, please call enforcement services at 780-980-7200 option 5.
