Green Gold rain barrel sale starting May 15

Residents are encouraged to help conserve water this summer and are invited to take part in this year’s Green Gold rain barrel sale. The sale will start on Saturday, May 15, at 7 a.m., at RONA in Leduc (5202 Discovery Way). Using a rain barrel helps conserve water, reduce energy usage and saves money. This year’s event features rain barrels for $64.99 (regular price $129) and programmable water sprinkler timers for $30.99 (regular price $45.99).

Limit one item per household, while supplies last. This event is being hosted in partnership with RONA.

Free compost and woodchip give-away

Don’t miss out on the city’s free compost and woodchip give-away at the Eco Station (6102-46 St.). Residents are required to bring their own shovel and pail. Quantities are limited. Maximum four 5-gallon pails per household of each material (compost/woodchips). Please note: woodchips will be available as of May 15, while quantities last. Compost should be mixed with 6:1 parts soil.
