Help ID suspects in local B&E

On Oct. 20, 2021 at approximately 8:30 a.m., Leduc RCMP responded to a 911 call of a break and enter at a business on 50 Avenue near 52 Street in Leduc. Preliminary investigation revealed two unknown males forced entry into the business and stole an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency. An employee was on the premise at the time of this incident however did not interact with the suspects. Upon further investigation, it was learned that the two unknown males fled in a burgundy 2009 Pontiac Torrent with Alberta licence plate YVA 667. The vehicle was seen on surveillance travelling south on 52 Avenue in Leduc.

Description of the suspects:

Suspect 1:

  • 5’7”-5’10”
  • Black coat
  • Black toque
  • Dark pants
  • Mask and gloves
  • Carrying a bag in front of him

Suspect 2:

  • Black coat
  • Dark toque
  • Dark pants
  • Mask and gloves
  • Carrying a crow bar and white trays

Leduc RCMP made patrols in the area and located the suspect vehicle abandoned in the area of 44 Avenue and 50 Street in Leduc. It was determined through investigation that the vehicle was stolen out of Wetaskiwin, Alta.

Leduc RCMP with the assistance of RCMP Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate.
