Friday, February 5, 2021

Starting Monday, Feb. 8, Leduc and regional residents will see the local impacts of the province’s latest move to ease restrictions taking a slow and measured approach while maintaining COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

Leduc Recreation Centre
Access opportunities for indoor one-on-one fitness, training and instruction under the guidance of a professional trainer starts Feb. 8 for ice, field house and aquatic amenities with fitness commencing, Feb. 10. Per the Government of Alberta’s Path Forward (Step 1), access is provided for one-on-one training only for the fitness centre, ice and field house amenities and aquatic centre. For more details, please click HERE or call the Leduc Recreation Centre at 780-980-7120.

Maclab Centre for the Performing Arts
Performance facilities, like the Maclab, are covered in later steps per the province’s Path Forward plan, which provides the City of Leduc the opportunity to focus on other operational tasks. Examples include strategic planning for the centre, fees and charges review, and the 2021/22 season. With the current season cancelled, centre operations will remain in place to facilitate school-related activities and performances.
