Leduc RCMP arrest male for break and enter and theft

On April 1 at approximately 12:00 a.m., Leduc RCMP responded to a burglary alarm at a business in Nisku. As police arrived at the location a vehicle fled the scene. Leduc RCMP followed and the vehicle pulled over. The 27-year-old male driver was arrested. A large quantity of stolen items were seized from the vehicle. Further investigation determined the vehicle was stolen from a dealership in Calgary and the male driver was involved in a number of break and enters in Calgary, Leduc and Nisku.

A male from Edmonton faces charges for break and enter x 2, possession of stolen property over $5,000 x1, possession of stolen property under $5,000 x 4, dangerous operation of motor vehicle x1 and breach of release order x1.

Leduc RCMP understands the vulnerability of our local businesses during the local state of emergency and are ensuring ongoing and diligent police presence in our communities to deter and stop crimes of opportunity such as this.
