Let's Talk Leduc! What kind of community do we want to be?

On Nov. 20, the City of Leduc launched a new public engagement program called Let’s Talk Leduc. The campaign supports the renewal of the community’s vision and four-year strategic plan that will guide Leduc now and into the future. 

This journey starts with listening to the community’s hopes and dreams for their city’s future. Public engagement will run throughout the plan’s development with initial opportunities for input occurring between Nov. 20 and Dec.10.

City Council and administration will use the input gathered to help craft a vision and strategic plan that reflects community values, spirit and aspirations. The public will have an opportunity to provide feedback on the draft plan, and the final version will be presented to council for endorsement and implementation.

Community members are encouraged to get involved and join the conversation. The following outlines the many ways for citizens to have their voice heard:

Visit the engagement portal and share your feedback online: engage.leduc.ca 
Visitors can learn more about the initiative, share their feedback and subscribe to receive updates.  

Attend a drop-in community visioning event:
Community members can drop by a community visioning event at the Leduc Recreation Centre. There will be activities for the entire family including snacks, prizes and a colouring contest.

Show Your City Some Love on social media: #LetsTalkLeduc
Get social on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Citizens can share what they love about their community include #LetsTalkLeduc and tag the City of Leduc (@cityofleduc) in posts. Participants are encouraged to get creative – share a photo, a drawing or their thoughts on what makes their community great!

The first 20 people to post on each social media channel will receive a Tim Hortons gift card and City of Leduc travel mug.

Meet Us in the Community!
Project representatives will be out in the community the week of Dec. 4. They’ll be looking to have a chat and hear thoughts and views one-on-one. Stay tuned on the project website (engage.leduc.ca) and City of Leduc social media channels for more details on dates and locations.
