Park your car and enjoy the fresh air on Clean Air Day
On June 5, Leduc Transit and LATS are offering free service to celebrate Clean Air Day. Residents across the Leduc region are encouraged to leave their cars at home for the day and do their part in improving air quality.
Clean Air Day is a Canada-wide initiative aimed at creating conversation on how everyone can make choices in their day-to-day lives to help improve air quality and climate change issues. The City of Leduc and Leduc County are dedicated to ensuring a healthy and safe region, and providing sustainable transpiration options is a viable tool in protecting the environment.
Commuters wishing to participate in Clean Air Day can ride any Leduc Transit bus throughout Leduc, Nisku and Leduc Country on June 5. Leduc Transit’s newest route, Route 10, will also provide free transfers to those boarding ETS Route 747 to Edmonton; however, return fare will be required on ETS Route 747 when connection to Route 10. Registered LATS customers can also take advantage of free service on Clean Air Day.
Leduc Transit and LATS have seen a steady increase in Clean Air Day riders since participation began four years ago. For more information on Leduc Transit and LATS, visit LeducTransit.ca. To learn more about Clean Air Day and other ways you can improve air quality, visit CapitalAirshed.ca
