Red Cross Adult Programs
$62.30 (8 classes)
This is a 2 - level program for anyone 13 - 18 years of age looking to get active and learn to swim.
A 60-minute program for adults and teens designed to develop or increase swimmer comfort in the water through basic floatation, movement and breathing skills. Instructors foster the basic knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to stay safe in, on and around the water. Red Cross Swim Basics 1 offers an introduction to swimming with a focus on front swim. Red Cross Swim Basics 2 focuses on developing front and back crawl, establishing comfort in deep water and increasing the swimming distance.
Adult Stroke Improvement
A 60-minute program for those interested in improving the strokes they already know or increasing their endurance. It is designed to further develop strokes chosen by the swimmer in consultation with a water safety instructor. Work with your instructor to personalize a training program and set goals, finding the best ways for you to achieve them.
Instructors evaluate participants in each of these programs based on performance criteria established by the Red Cross, and personal goals set with the instructor. Progress is tracked in the Red Cross Swim Journal and swimmers progress to the next level or program once all items in the performance criteria have been successfully completed.
