Go Digital with Electronic Property Assessment and Tax Notices

Wednesday, April 3, 2024

Leduc property owners now have an electronic option to stay up to date on their property assessment and tax communications from the City. Those interested can sign up to receive their annual property and tax notifications online rather than in the mail.

Registering to receive electronic tax assessments and notices will put Leduc property owners’ tax info right at their fingertips and will reduce wait times for requests for property information. Those who enroll for this service enhancement will be able to access their property info at any time through the Virtual City Hall (VCH) portal.

Steps to Register Online:

  1. Complete the online authorization form.
If you have an existing VCH account with the City of Leduc, the email address you enter on the authorization form must match your VCH account.
  2. If you do not already have a VCH account, create one using the same email address you enter on the authorization form. You will need to have either a City utility bill or property tax notice to create your VCH account.
  3. You will receive a confirmation email from the VCH tool letting you know your account has been created.
Note: Your tax information will not show up until notices are processed and released in May - you will receive an email it is available for you to view online. Your property assessment notice will become available in your VCH account next January (for the 2025 tax year).

Property assessments are sent out in January each year, and tax notices are delivered in May with payment due by the end of June. Property owners who sign up to receive these notifications online will no longer receive notices in the mail and will be responsible for checking online and ensuring payments are made on time.

To receive your 2024 Property Tax Notice digitally, please sign up before April 30. Registration can also be completed in-person at the Leduc Civic Centre’s Finance counter.

For more information about these electronic communications or other aspects of property assessments and taxes, please visit the City’s website or contact the Finance department at propertytaxes@leduc.ca or call 780-980-7105.
