A Canada Post strike was announced on Sept. 25, suspending all mail delivery services. Below is an outline of City services and operations, including utility bills, ambulance invoices and special ballots in the municipal election, that will be affected.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we respond to this unexpected interruption in mail delivery. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

Utility bills

Utility bill mailouts may be delayed due to the postal strike. Alternative methods to view your balance include:

If you have questions, please call (780)-980-7163.

Ambulance Invoices

Ambulance invoice mailouts may be delayed. If you recently received ambulance service in Leduc, please call (780)-980-7106 or email [email protected] to confirm if you have an outstanding bill.

Municipal Election: Special Ballots
The disruption in mail service will impact the way special ballot requests can be submitted, and how special ballot packages will be distributed, in the 2025 municipal election.

As of Sept. 25, the City has received 17 requests for special ballots, all through the online application form. If you have mailed a request to the Elections Office, it has not and is not expected to be received before the election. You will be required to make a new request through one of the other methods:

The Elections Office will follow up directly with each voter who has requested a special ballot to arrange pick-up of their special ballot package.

If you have questions about your special ballot request, please email [email protected].

Note: This post will be updated as we become aware of any additional impacts.
