A program that aims to help Alberta fabricators and manufacturers be globally competitive by adopting new and advanced technologies, techniques, and processes to increase productivity and quality.

Designed to accelerate innovation by supporting research and development activities in agri-innovations and commercialization of technologies, this program promotes the development and knowledge transfer in the sector leading to innovative agriculture, agri-food, and agribased practices, processes, and products.

Through Sustainable CAP, Alberta producers, farmers, ranchers, processors, and organizations can apply for cost-shared grant programs in the following categories: efficient grain handling, emerging opportunities, farm technology, on-farm value-added, resilience and public trust, resilient agricultural landscape, value-added, water, accelerating agricultural innovations, and business risk management.

IRAP provides technical and business advisory services related to R&D, including strategic intelligence and customized solutions to fit business needs.

The SR and ED tax incentive is a federal program that encourages businesses of all sizes and in all sectors to conduct research and development. Any Canadian-controlled private corporation (CCPC) can deduct SR and ED expenditures for income tax purposes, and companies can earn ITC’s to reduce income tax payable.

Established to help individuals get back to work through workplace skills and training programs, these programs support newcomers, Indigenous people, women, unemployed individuals, and individuals on Employment Insurance and Income Support.
