Leduc Council approved twenty-four public appointments for the City’s boards and committees during the City Council meeting on Dec. 8.
Appointed residents that sit on the advisory boards will advise and make recommendations to City Council on a broad range of programs, services and activities that impact our growing community. The quasi-judicial boards have legal power to decide on claims or disputes but are not associated with any government department.
“We were pleased to see so many residents step forward, applying to participate,” says City of Leduc Mayor Lars Hansen. “I am proud to welcome this group of individuals to the City’s boards and committees and thank them for serving their community with passion and purpose.”
All appointments begin on Jan. 1 and conclude on Dec. 31 and range from one- to three-year terms.
