Commemorative Bench Program

The Commemorative Bench program gives you a permanent tribute to your loved one in one of the City's unique natural spaces. Benches benefit all age groups by providing a resting place along a walking trail or allowing for a place to sit while enjoying Leduc’s green spaces. The bench selected for this program is a maintenance-free, full frame six foot bench. Affixed to the backrest is a custom plaque that will be engraved with your choice of words.

How to Participate?

Applications for the Commemorative Bench program are accepted year round. Each application must include:

  • The text to be inscribed on the plaque
  • The preferred location of the bench (keep in mind some locations may not be available depending on demand)

When we get your application, we'll contact you to discuss your choice. Benches are placed every year between May-September.

Program Costs & Payment Information

Your commemorative bench will cost $2,500, which includes the cost of the bench, plaque, engraving, installation (includes cement pad) and applicable taxes.

Once we receive your payment, the City of Leduc will provide a letter confirming the donation, which you can use for your income taxes. Cheques can be made payable to the City of Leduc, mailed or dropped off to the City of Leduc Civic Centre, #1 Alexandra Park, Leduc, AB T9E 4C4.
