What's Out There

Sometimes in our toughest moments, it’s hard to know where to turn or to remember what’s available for support in our community. We want to help! Below we’ve compiled a list of the resources you or a loved one may need. Through City of Leduc Family and Community Support Services (FCSS), offer a wide array of social support services, access to assistance programs and can help create connections to other social supports.

People are welcome to reach out to us through FCSS for assistance (780-980-7109) and for us to provide connections to other services offered in our community and region. This could be The Leduc Hub and/or the regional housing foundations. To learn more about housing and shelters, visit ‘Housing Supports.’

Extreme Weather Supports

We join other local agencies to take a community approach to support Leduc’s unhoused, especially during extreme weather conditions. This information is updated for our seasons and shares resources for Leduc’s business community, agencies and citizens so people are aware of the supports in place. To learn more, visit ‘Extreme Weather.’

Food insecurity

We offer an individual adult support program to help cover the challenges people may be facing. This includes financial assistance, personal counselling and connecting people with the local food bank.

We provide awareness, education and a spectrum of support services for people living with addiction (drug and alcohol), including family and friends. To learn more, visit ‘Addictions Support.’

Trauma is the lasting emotional response that often results from living through a distressing event. Experiencing a traumatic event can harm a person’s sense of safety, sense of self, and ability to regulate emotions and navigate relationships. We are here to help! Contact FCSS (780-980-7109) or visit ‘Dealing with Trauma.’
