Connection, confidence, leadership and support for youth in Leduc

The City of Leduc is dedicated to creating a supportive, inclusive, and enriching environment for youth. Through FCSS, the FRN, and community partners, we offer programs, mentorship activities, and resources that help young people build confidence, develop skills, and connect to their community.

Whether you’re looking for ways to get involved, explore your interests, access mental wellness supports, find work, or build leadership skills, there’s a place for you here.

Youth can access confidential support and mentoring through FCSS and local partnerships. Includes one-on-one support and mentoring, anti-bullying initiatives, educational tools, and more.

A free confidential resource for youth who want someone to talk to or need help navigating life’s challenges. The Youth Outreach Worker can support youth with mental wellness, relationship concerns, school or employment readiness, building healthy routines, community connection, goal-setting, problem-solving and more.

Opportunities for fun, connection, and creativity throughout the year give youth safe and welcoming spaces to meet others and be themselves.

  • Youth Council (ages 16-22): a hands-on way for youth to learn about local government while building real-world leadership skills. Members research and advise on civic issues, propose ideas to Council, and develop skills in public speaking, teamwork and community engagement.
  • Youth Ambassadors (ages 12-15): learn about local government, community development, and leadership, setting youth up for success in Youth Council

Youth can access guidance and resources for academic support, skill-building workshops, resume help and interview practice, and job placement programs. These supports and referrals help you prepare for future education and employment.

Youth can access reliable information and supportive guidance on sexual health, substance use, and general physical and emotional wellbeing.
