Saxony Barabonoff

Inspired by her grandmother’s commitment to volunteerism and community service, Saxony is someone whose passion for youth, community, and leadership shines through everything she does.

Saxony is a dedicated coach, mentor, and volunteer who’s making a real difference, especially in the lives of young girls in sport. A hockey player herself, Saxony now coaches U9 girls’ hockey in Leduc, building her athletes’ confidence and creating meaningful connections. Her leadership doesn’t go unnoticed, and is celebrated not just by her team, but by their families, her peers, and the community.

Saxony’s dedication to having a positive influence on young people’s lives carries into her future ambitions, as she moves forward to her post-secondary education with hopes of becoming an elementary school teacher.
