The City of Leduc sent 2026 property assessment notices to property owners on January 29, 2026. These notices provide the assessed value of your property which is used to calculate annual property taxes.

Assessments should arrive within a week. If you’re signed up for electronic notices, check your spam folder and add [email protected] to your safe sender list.

When you receive your notice, review the information. If you have questions, concerns, or do not receive your notice, contact the City.

The deadline to appeal your assessed property value is April 7, 2026.

The assessment notice is not a property tax bill. Property taxes are calculated after Council sets the residential property tax rate in April. Property tax notices are then mailed to property owners in May.

Property assessments are completed in accordance with provincial guidelines to help ensure property taxes are distributed fairly, so properties with similar market values pay a similar share of taxes. In turn, property taxes help cover the programs and services the community depends on, such as snow clearing, fire and ambulance, policing and security, transit and recreation.
