The City of Leduc is committed to supporting an active, connected and vibrant community by investing in new or improved multiway trails, parks and community amenities. These improvements create safer routes for walking, biking, and rolling; expand access to green spaces; and enhance gathering areas for residents of all ages.

During construction, residents can expect:

  • Portions of the area may be fenced off for safety
  • Expect construction equipment, noise, and daytime work activity
  • Temporary closures of sidewalks or park pathways may occur
  • Bypass routes or detours will be clearly marked where possible

The multiway trail in Alexandra Park will be upgraded to improve trail conditions to help those walking, cycling or rolling move around the community safely and comfortably. Minor drainage improvements will also be completed in the park during this time.

Construction Project - Alexandra Park Multiway

Date Status

A new multiway will be constructed along Grant MacEwan Boulevard from Suntree Promenade to 38 Avenue to improve connectivity, support healthy lifestyles, and build a vibrant, accessible community. These trails provide a safe, comfortable route away from vehicle traffic and can be used year-round.

Construction Project - Grant MacEwan Multiway

Date Status

A new viewing point and multiway on the north shore of Telford Lake will be constructed and connected to the existing trail. The outlook will include a seating area for visitors to sit and enjoy the view over Telford Lake which can be accessed via the multiway. The trail provides a safe, comfortable route away from vehicle traffic and can be used year-round, which improves connectivity, supports healthy lifestyles, and builds a vibrant, accessible community.

Construction Project - Telford Lake North Shore Outlook

Date Status

A new recreational little league (ages 12 and under) ball diamond will be built in Corinthia Park to increase the availability of bookable ball diamonds spaces and contribute to a healthy and vibrant community. The ball diamond is an additional enhancement to the park which is home to soccer fields, a playground, toboggan hill, the skatepark and another baseball diamond.
