Assessment review boards consist of a Local Assessment Review Board (LARB) and a Composite Assessment Review Board (CARB). Both boards are quasi-judicial and have jurisdiction to hear complaints arising from property assessments. The boards are governed by the Assessment Review Board Bylaw.

Assessment review board hearings are held as required and may take place during the summer months.
