Throughout high school, I have been driven by one belief: every person has the ability to create meaningful change. Whether through volunteerism, leadership, or simply taking the initiative to bring people together, I have always been motivated by the opportunity to leave a positive impact on my community.

One of the experiences I am most proud of has been not only my involvement with Leduc Composite Interact Club, but my drive to reissue the club completely after it shut down during covid. As a youth-led organization focused on service, Interact demonstrates that age is never a barrier to one’s ability to make a difference. Working alongside other students to support children and families in our community allowed me to see the lasting impact that consistent acts of service can have. Through my time as President at the Interact Club, I learned that leadership is not about being the loudest voice in the room but about using the voice you have to its fullest capacity and inspiring others to believe they can make a difference too.

My recognition as Youth of the Year further strengthened my passion for leadership and community engagement. It gave me the opportunity to serve on a larger scale, connect with youth who shared the same commitment to giving back, and develop the confidence to lead with purpose. These experiences reinforced my belief that meaningful change begins when people are willing to step forward and encourage others to do the same.

Looking ahead, I hope to continue advocating for youth and expanding opportunities for community involvement through organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club and Rotary. As I pursue university, I want to continue volunteering with causes that matter to me while growing into a leader who creates lasting change wherever I am.

The Boys and Girls Club holds a special place in my heart because I have experienced firsthand the lasting impact it can have on a young person’s life. It provides more than programs or activities, it creates a sense of belonging and for many children, it becomes a safe third home: a place outside of school and home where they are accepted, encouraged, and given the opportunity to grow into confident, capable individuals. These relationships, the support, and the valuable experiences fostered there can shape a child’s future long after they leave.

With the development of a new youth centre in our community, I see an opportunity to extend that same impact to an entirely new demographic. Every child deserves a place where they feel valued and safe. I advocate for this space in hopes to contribute to building a community where youth have access to the resources, connections, and encouragement they need to succeed. Investing in young people today creates stronger leaders and brighter futures for tomorrow, and I am excited to play a role in making that vision a reality.

What motivates me most is helping people recognize the potential they already have. I love connecting with others, starting conversations, and building relationships. When I believe in something, I commit to it wholeheartedly, and I enjoy bringing people together around a shared purpose. I strive to inspire others to become the best versions of themselves by reminding them that every individual has unique strengths and the ability to leave a positive impact. If I can help someone see that potential in themselves, then I know I have made a difference.
