The Alexandra Outdoor Pool in Leduc is a chlorinated facility open during the summer months, offering a refreshing yet comfortably warm swimming experience. The water temperature is maintained between 28 and 30 degrees, though it may fluctuate slightly with changing weather conditions. Ideal for swimmers of all ages, the pool provides a great spot to cool off, enjoy the outdoors, and stay active throughout the warmer season.

What does this package get you?

For health and safety reasons, drop-in and registered aquatic fitness program participants must be at least 14 years of age unless otherwise noted.
All patrons under 16 years of age will be required to swim two lengths of an acceptable swim for the lifeguards. Once the lengths have been completed to the facility standard, the patron will receive their deep-end mark and be able to enter the deep end.
Children under eight years of age must be accompanied in the deep end by their supervisor (14 years or older). Children can swim for their mark in a PFD and the PFD must be worn at all times in the deep end.
Disposable and cloth diapers are NOT allowed in the pools. Swim diapers are required for all children/patrons who are not toilet trained and are available at Guest Services for a nominal charge.
Appropriate swimming apparel is required while in the pool.
For health and safety reasons, outdoor footwear and strollers are not permitted on deck or in the change rooms.
The pool deck is a food-free zone. Water in non-breakable containers is acceptable on deck.
For health and safety reasons the pool deck is a Food Free Zone. Drinks in non-breakable containers are acceptable on deck. Only water can be consumed in any of the pools. Food may be consumed on the grass areas and picnic tables.
Patrons are encouraged to park in lots located at the Alex Arena and the Civic Centre. The parking lot directly south of the outdoor pool has been converted to a turnaround for traffic with accessible parking stalls. Please see the map below for a list of additional parking spots.
For health and safety reasons, outdoor footwear and strollers are not permitted on deck or in the changerooms. Shoe racks are provided at the change room entrance and at the viewing area entrance on deck. Please remove all footwear upon entering the changeroom. Footwear can be stored in your locker or carried out to the grass area.
Unfortunately, on occasion, pools must be closed unexpectedly due to pool fouling. Health regulations require that our pools be closed anywhere from 30 minutes to 24 hours for the necessary disinfection.
Appropriate swimming apparel is required while in the pool.
We close for the following reasons as we want to ensure our patrons have the best experience possible at the Outdoor Pool.
