Waste & Recycling Facilities

Leduc has several facilities offering a range of recycling and waste management services for families and businesses. The new, improved, free Recycle Coach app or the Sort Smart A - Z materials listing has a full list of household items and the best options for disposing of them.

Eco Station

Formerly known as the Recycling Depot, residents and businesses can take their recyclables, extra waste bags, modest amounts of organic waste, household hazardous waste and electronic waste to the Eco Station.

Multi-stream sorting stations in the community

Two and three stream sorting is available in the community as well as through the curbside collection program.  Look for sorting stations on selected walkways, in civic buildings, downtown, at community events and at 30 plus transit stops.  Be an eco-champ and sort smarter at home and in the community.  Help us to achieve our waste diversion goal of 65% by 2021.

Waste Management Facility

The Leduc & District Regional Waste Management Facility accepts all household waste.

Yard Waste Transfer Station

Residents and businesses can drop off yard waste any time at the yard waste transfer station.

Diseased Wood Pile

Bring all diseased wood (like branches with black knot fungus) and noxious weeds to the diseased wood pile. The pile is just around the corner from the yard waste transfer station. Do not put diseased wood or noxious weeds in the green bin. Instead, transport the wood and weeds in a plastic bag to avoid spreading weeds and arbour diseases to neighbouring yards and green spaces.

Leduc Bottle Depot

Residents can return their drink containers to the Leduc Bottle Depot. Small refunds are available for most containers. The bottle depot is located at 6117 – 46A Street. Hours are 9am - 6pm Monday to Saturday.
