The Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival is a family-friendly paddling and cultural event that celebrates dragon boat racing, community spirit, and cultural diversity. Hosted annually by the Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival Association (EDBFA), the festival features competitive races, cultural performances, entertainment, food vendors, and community activities for all ages.

Noise Consideration: Attendees and nearby residents may hear periods of loud drumming throughout the event. Drumming is a traditional and essential element of dragon boat racing, helping crews maintain timing, rhythm, and teamwork on the water. Often referred to as the “heartbeat” of the boat, the drum plays a key role in both the sport and the cultural celebration surrounding the festival
