All Events & Activities

The community is invited to join the City of Leduc, Creating Hope Society, Santa’s Helpers and the Leduc Boys and Girls Club for this year’s Good Neighbours’ BBQ in celebration of National Indigenous Peoples’ Day. This is a great opportunity for the community to get together, enjoy light refreshments and learn about Treaty 6 history, resiliency, and cultural celebrations.

• Reflective Indigenous learning opportunities with Knowledge Keeper Joeanne Swampy
• A community walk around Fred Johns Park
• Activities for all ages

11 a.m. – Welcome
11:30 a.m. – Opening Ceremony and Smudge
12:00 pm – Medicine Teaching
12 p.m. – 2 p.m. – BBQ (hot dogs and drinks while supplies last) and many family fun activities throughout the park!

Bring a picnic blanket or some chairs and enjoy the day!
