Fire Services provides ambulance service, patient transport and traditional fire services. The department is currently made up of both full and part-time members, and has a long history in firefighting and community involvement.

To provide a standard of excellence to the community of Leduc in fire suppression, investigation, preplanning, inspections, emergency medical services, rescue, public education and emergency preparedness.

Members of Fire Services are committed to providing optimum service and to creating a safer environment, fulfilling all legislative requirements under the authority given by the Safety Codes Act and municipal bylaws. Apparatus and related rescue equipment stationed at the Protective Services Building is both city-owned and county-owned. All equipment at Firehouse #2 is city-owned.
Engine 1: 2010 Pierce Velocity with a Waterous 6600 Litre pump. It carries 2800 Litres of water and a Husky foam system with a 225 Litre foam cell.
Engine 2: 2015 Rosenbauer Commander Engine with a Waterous 7000 LPM pump. It carries 2377 Liters of water with a Foam Pro foam system.
Ladder 1: 2014 Pierce Arrow XT 100 Foot Platform Ladder. It has a 6000 LPM Waterous pump and carries 1100 Litres of water.
F/E 3: the mechanical back up and training engine. It’s a 1996 White Freightliner FL106. It has a 5600 LPM Waterous pump and carries 2600 Litres of water with both Class A and Class B foams.
Leduc Fire operates two front line ambulances, a 2015 Demers and a 2015 Crestline with a mechanical back-up. All ambulances operate at the Advanced Life Support (ALS) level.
