As of Feb. 1, public notices are only required to be posted 14 days in advance of the applicable date on the City’s website. These notices will include information on how, when, and where the public can request further information or provide comments to Council or City staff.

The new Advertising Bylaw approved last year outlines how public notices about government business are advertised to residents. They will no longer be published in the local newspaper (The Leduc Rep).

Public notices are published in accordance with the Municipal Government Act (MGA) to keep the community informed of opportunities for input on local government business. The City is required to give notice to the public on a variety of different matters, such as:

  • Bylaw Amendments
  • Financial Bylaws
  • Notice of Development Permits
  • Public Hearing
  • General Notices

Review current notices, visit Leduc.ca/PublicNotices.

Note: The City has the discretion to use other means of advertising public notices; however, this will be supplemental in nature to the City’s minimum requirement to post public notices on Leduc.ca.
