Community Spirit Award
Recipient of the 2025 Community Spirit Award, Roger Villa is a dedicated leader whose commitment to community development has made a lasting impact. Since moving to Leduc 13 years ago with his family, Roger has become a respected advocate for community engagement through his involvement in numerous local and provincial organizations.
Roger is the founding president of the Filipino-Canadian Association of Leduc (FilCas-Leduc). He considers it a privilege to be able to lead the organization in its efforts to promote Filipino culture and community by organizing cultural activities, networking with other organizations and building connections within the city and the province.
In addition to his work with FilCas-Leduc, Roger serves as vice president of the Philippine Business Society of Alberta and auditor for the Association of Filipino-Canadian Community Leaders of Alberta. He is also a director with the Leduc Community Hospital Foundation. He has contributed his expertise to organizations supporting health care and local business development. Professionally, Roger brings more than 25 years of experience in finance and cooperative management to his role at Leduc Co-op Ltd.
Through his leadership, volunteerism and dedication to community service, Roger Villa has helped elevate Leduc’s reputation as a welcoming, inclusive and community-focused city.
