Counsellors in Training (CITs)

The Counsellors in Training (CIT) program is a youth development program whereby youth ages 12 - 17 learn and practice the skills necessary to become a summer camp counsellor. All CITs must submit a resume, complete a parent & youth interview, submit necessary paperwork, attend mandatory CIT training and orientation before Leduc Summer Camps start.  Following training, CITs will take part in a minimum of 2 weeks or 10 classes placement depending on their age and experience. Youth ages 12 - 14 will be placed in Preschool and/or Parks programs and youth ages 15 - 17 will be placed in Camps and/or Parks programs.

Youth interested in registering for this youth development program can submit a resume and cover letter to programs@leduc.ca no later than May 15, 2024. Applicants will be contacted via submission email for a youth as well as a parent interview. Successful candidates, post interview, will need to return the registration forms and sign a behaviour and confidentiality agreement before being registered in the program. Fees will need to be paid before the CIT training on June 8, 2024.

Please read our Parent/Guardian handbook thoroughly.
