Aquatic Centre

The Aquatic Centre re-opened, Monday, July 27.

Thank you for being safe, kind and patient.  We're in this together.  We'll get through it together.

Things you need to know

  • The Aquatic Centre will be offering lane swim and public swim plus AquaFit.
  • There will be no WIBIT or public rental at this time.
  • Hot pools and steam room are now open with limited capacity.  Steam Room 2, Hot Tub 4, Whirlpool 7.  These must be enjoyed during the scheduled appointment timeslot as the pool deck will be cleared at the end of that time.
  • Limited swim lockers are available; however, capacity will be reduced in the changerooms so please come ready for your activity where possible.
  • Showers will be offered for a quick rinse only.
  • The Indoor Pool will be CLOSED every couple hours to facilitate our cleaning protocols that have been put in place.  Please refer to the schedule to confirm when so you can time your visit.
  • All users of the Indoor Pool, whether you enter the water or not, will require a scheduled appointment and to pay admission. This will help manage the overall numbers allowed within the facility as per the guidelines in place.

Remember to Download the Live Leduc App to reserve your spot, schedule your 2 hour Public/Family Swim appointment at the Indoor Pool. Please ensure you book an appointment for the number of people coming to enjoy e.g. if you have a family of 4, choose 4 people from the drop-down – all will be under the Mobile App users name.

AquaFit is located under Classes – pick the day of the week you would like to attend and reserve your spot.

Also, make sure that the top right hand corner facility drop down is on Aquatic Centre to schedule your appointment or reserve your spot in class.

With the limited capacity and in an effort to have as many people enjoy the indoor pool as possible, each amenity can only be booked for one appointment each day right now.

Pre-booked spots will be held for 10 minutes past the appointment start time. If you are more than 10 minutes late, your spot will be released for a walk-in patron.

Aquatic Centre FAQs

Why does a pool close unexpectedly?
Unfortunately, pools have to be closed in an untimely manner due to pool fouling. Health regulations require pools to be closed anywhere from 1 to 36 hours for the necessary disinfecting.

Why can't I wear my shoes in the change rooms or take my stroller out onto the pool deck?
For health and safety reasons outdoor footwear and strollers are not permitted on deck or in the change rooms. Shoe racks are provided at the change room entrance and the viewing area on deck. Strollers can be left in the "Stroller Parking Lot" and exchanged for 'pool' strollers, allowed on the deck and in the change rooms.

What time is public swimming?
Public swimming is offered every day. Depending on the day and time, some pools may not be available due to rentals, swimming lessons and other aquatic programs. Refer to the Pool Schedule or speak with a Guest Services Representative to confirm times.

Do my kids need supervision  in the Aquatic Centre?

  • 0 - 7 years of age: need supervision (Maximum of 4 children to 1 supervisor)
  • 8 years of age and older: does not need to be accompanied

Can my teenager participate in aquatic fitness programs?
All drop-in and registered aquatic fitness program participants must be at least 14 years of age unless otherwise noted.

I forgot my towel / swim diaper / bathing suit!
The West Guest Services desk provides a tuck shop carrying all your swimming needs. Goggles, nose clips, swim caps, bathing suits, swim diapers, towels and baby boats (rentals are $2 plus deposit) can all be purchased/rented.
