Aquatic Centre FAQs

Unfortunately, pools have to be closed in an untimely manner due to pool fouling. Health regulations require pools to be closed anywhere from one to 36 hours for the necessary disinfecting.

For health and safety reasons, outdoor footwear and strollers are not permitted on deck or in the changerooms. Shoe racks are provided at the changeroom entrance and the viewing area on the deck. Strollers can be left in the “Stroller Parking Lot” and exchanged for pool strollers, allowed on the deck and in the changerooms.

Public swimming is offered at different times every day. Depending on the day and time, some or all pools may be unavailable due to swimming lessons and other aquatic programs. Refer to the Pool Schedule or speak with a Guest Services Representative to confirm times.

Unless otherwise noted, all drop-in and registered aquatic fitness program participants must be at least 14 years of age.

The West Guest Services desk provides a tuck shop for your swimming needs (while supplies last). You can purchase goggles, nose clips, swim caps, swim diapers, towels, and a limited stock of towels and ear plugs. Baby boats are available for free on deck.

Yes. All patrons must wear a wristband outside the 5:30 a.m. –8 a.m. window, including AquaFit participants. If you arrive for AquaFit before 8 a.m., pick up a wristband from Guest Services before class.

Wristbands must be worn on the wrist, not on swimwear, to ensure safe participation and to keep admission procedures consistent.

Each amenity has its own early-morning process for drop-in access. For the Woodbend Dental Aquatic Centre, patrons must show their membership or flex-pass to the lifeguard on duty. The lifeguard will record the pass number on a list, which is sent to Guest Services at 8 a.m. for verification. Guest Services will contact patrons directly if a membership or flex-pass has expired.
